Age, Human Nature,and History
"You are as young as you feel" Simple statement with so much power. The person who is old but has the energy and vigor of teenager, feels young so they act young. So who denies they are young but looking upon them. Now the person who worries about the future, and sits at home worrying away the time. He is the old one beyond his years. Why do people let themselves fall into the thinking that leads to the latter? We can not control the future, we can control alot of the variables of life but at what cost. You choose not to approach love until you are absolutely sure you are in love completely. Love grows with time just as it withers with time. How do predict the change? You don't it isn't a wave in the ocean set with the moon. It is a leaf upon the wind. It will catch an up current and rides the current up and up. But just like the leaf, the wind will blow itself out. And the leaf will ride the current down. But one can not talk about something they have yet to experience. So I wander back to thought that started this. Age is but a number. Interpreted by each individual several times thru their time. When you are extremely young, old can be young as 18. But as you grow older that age continues to grow with you. Somewhere along the way it reaches its peak and you start thinking of your self as old and it somehow stays relatively still. I haven't gotten pass this point so I am yet unaware where it will go after that. But age is relative to the person who speaks it and thinks it. Another thing about age is that it effects different people differently. The easiest example is the age when your hair goes grey or lose it entirely. People may look older or younger. People who are older and stay in their own little town and never venture off their street will have little world experience but they will lack the jadedness others do. The opposite is true. The young one who travels with his parent and sees the world before he is out of high school. He may depending on his experiences may extremely jaded. He might of had his eyes opened to one spectrum of human nature. The eagerness to satisfy oneself with no thought of others. And the most powerful tool in the chest of someone who embodies this human nature is lies. Lies in the form of words, facial expressions and body language. Some time these are used for good like white lies. And others the intentions are purely evil. All they want is what they need. When you see it in action you opinion can change if you don't understand the intention, you may not like what you see. But not to wander to far from the topic. Age can bring up so many discussions. Woman do not like talking about or being asked what their age is. Usually it is because they are older than they want to be and they want to feel and look young. Every once and while you will come across someone who is older then they look. They want people to think they are older are upset if people find out their real age. They are usually the ones who have experienced more than their years. It is a rare individual who can claim both groups. One who has experienced different portions of life more than their years or has gained knowledge scholarly not common sense more than their age would suggest. But in life matters they are still the young teenager worrying about the grade on his science quiz. Aimlessly wondering the world bouncing between the two persona's. Never sure which is at the core. Both discount the other but somehow fuse together to be one. Oil and water never mix but what would you call a mixture of the two. There isn't a word. It should not be possible but if you came across it would you deny it or accept it as the new truth. So what is the facade and what is reality. Now we transition into the second half. Human nature. We have touched upon it lightly in this and previous ones, because it is what all this about. This is written by a human and anything this talks about is human nature. It may not be normal human nature but it may be an abnormal human nature. Alas instead of being specific in the topic I add a vague topic to encompass the next thought process. Introvertism verse Extrovertism. Being social or tending to be alone. We have touched on this before but it is a topic that can be revisited so many times. When your grow with parents, you tend to pick up something from them. Sometimes it is only your looks, sometimes people can not tell the difference between the two except to look upon the two faces together and see which is the older. Now let examine one particular trait of people, socialism. Not a government but the act of being social and everything that goes with that. When the mother is social and the father is guarded what do the children become? Each child will have different experiences and different attachments to the parents. But could a child who is attached to his mother, grow up and have all the traits or majority of his traits. Will he realize that he is his father's son or will he think that he is two halves and not a whole. Will he spend his days trying to put two things that should not go together to make something which has no name at least that he knows. But he must understand neither of the statements are true. He is his own person with a new definition and a word that is unspoken that encompasses yourself. Some book I have read talked of having your name in the ancient language that literally means you is a powerful spell that controls the person. But without the magic it is still a strong concept. A word that when spoken encompasses you. It is slightly fantasy to really ponder on it. The book I am reading now is told from the point of view of the dragon. And they speak and teach thru mind images. When they mate they sing a song of their life. The male sings his song to the female to entice her to fly and mate with him. A song of a life is in so many stories due to the fact that at one time out of memory, writing down words was a not a thought such as the words were not a concept if you go far enough back. Sounds and pictures are what was the time's words. But we have gone to far back. We move forward slightly to the age of languages and words but before the time of the written word. Songs from bards is where history was made. And the same as then is the issue with history thru out time. The author of the history is the person who can color it as he wishes. Just as the bard choose who was the good guys and the bad guys. The historian who tries to be impartial is nothing but impartial. Because it is human nature to make a commentary. If you take down only numbers even that is your perception and understanding of what happened. Which can be correct or not? Just as it this "Modern" time the medical world comes out with what is healthly and not and it changes over time as they try to figure out what is the truth and not. In the future people will read the histories and upon their interpretation of the history and what they have been taught they will decide what is truth and what is misinterpretation. I have been wondering an extra amount in this one to see how long I can get it. But there is a trace string that circles this entry, human nature which is in the title and is extremely vague. But alas it is what makes up the entire blog, how we react to the world presented to us by our senses. I use senses because no matter if you are blind, deaf or both. You experience the world. The individual who is color blind is the luckiest because it is a minor flaw. But others would say depending on the situation the blind or deaf person is the luckier. Because out of sorrow or pain, the greatest appreciation of what you have is found. And I will end with that idea to be truly happy you need to be completely satisfied with what you have and not worry about what others have.
